When we run events, it’s very important to us that everyone feels welcome and included and… that means breaking the ice!
For this event, we’re starting out the evening with an interactive “human scavenger hunt” where you’ll be invited to mingle among the crowd to uncover certain characters we’ve planted… it could be a studio mogul, or a jazz singer, or a rising starlet. Discover their secret plans, meet other guests, and break the ice to kick off an evening of fun!

We’re excited to welcome back the Savoy Band, who are preparing new songs from some of your favourite old films to serenade us and help create that energetic ambience we enjoy so much.
And everyone will be invited to enter the campaign to be nominated for on Oscar! Walk the red carpet and experience a mini Oscar ceremony. We can’t wait to see who wins!
Dress up, take some photos with your favourite old film stars, and enjoy beverages from the La Plaza bar.
Wardrobe choices may be glamorous “awards show ready”, vintage inspired, or cosplay as a character from your favourite film. Creativity welcome! (Just please not jeans and t-shirts.)
You know we love to dress up and that should be fun, never stressful. If you already own some fancy clothing that you don’t often get a chance to wear, you can certainly wear that! (Vintage OR modern are fine!) But you can also find other creative ways to interpret the theme like dressing as a character from a film, a photographer, or director, or reporter. Creativity welcome! Just please no jeans and t-shirts.

Not sure if you’ll feel comfortable attending alone? We do our best to create an inclusive event and encourage people to mix and mingle. Our ice breaker activities also really help with that. So if you don’t have any friends who want to join you, that’s ok! Come on your own, we’d love to have you.

A password to get in will be emailed to all ticket holders a few days before the event. If you don’t remember the password, we’ll send you on a small scavenger hunt to find it! Get your tickets now!
NO TICKET FEES – The ticket price of $44 pp is exactly what it looks like: Absolutely no ticket fees or taxes will be added to your ticket at checkout. We’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the Easter Parade that we had been planning to revive post-pandemic. The reality is that we are just too busy to do it justice.

We recently got back from Dandy Wellington’s Fascinating Voyage with Ahoy Vintage Cruises. I was involved with the marketing and had the pleasure of coordinating with Dandy as a social convenor.
It was a terrific once-in-a-lifetime trip and I’m so glad that we were able to share the experience with about 120 other people. The spirit of the event was #vintagestylenotvintagevalues and from the point of view of the guests, I’d ay it was a great success.
